Prabu,

Yes it is possible to migrate the content from one ECM product to another. The amount and complexity of the content will affect the method which is best suited to the method you choose

I work for Vamosa, a company that specalises in this area. There are a number of whitepapers etc on content migration available via www.vamosa.com or please feel to contact us for a chat / advice on how best to go about the migration. The number is +44 (0) 574 2500.

I hope you find the information helpful.

Kind Regards

Owen Lovelock

Hi Owen
Thanks for the link that you have sent across to me. It's been very useful in understanding the content migration at a broader perspective. However I have few other clarifications in my mind

a) Do we get any granular details of migrating the content. A document/article that delineates the migration with a sample website

c) Can migration be done on the ECM products not mentioned in the white paper?

b) How can the product be purchased. Is there any evaluation version available?

Thanks & Regards,
Prabu

Hi Prabu

No problem about the link! Happy to help! To answer the questions you had, and hopefully clarify things a little more for you:

a) Do we get any granular details of migrating the content. A document/article that delineates the migration with a sample website?

The short answer is yes. I have a Migration Project Approach document outlining this that I can send you if you give me your email address.

b) Can migration be done on the ECM products not mentioned in the white paper?

Yes - we have a SDK which can be used to configure a loader from our vanilla version

c) How can the product be purchased. Is there any evaluation version available?

The project can be purchased direct from us or from one of our partners on a time/page restricted licence basis (the time and page limit would be determined at a later stage).

At the moment there is no evaluation version available. However we would be happy to conduce a webex demonstration of the product for you if this would be of interest. In this we would walk you through the product and a test migration project.

I hope this helps to clarify things a little further. If its ok with you, we would like to have a chat about your need for migration so that we can perhaps suggest the next best steps in this process. Do you have a number that you can be reached on? and when would be a good time to call? Alternatively please feel free to call us with any further questions. The number again is +44 (0)141 574 2500.

In the meantime if you send me through your email address I will get the project approach document over to you right away.

Kind Regards

Owen Lovelock
