Are the individual components of the website administrated in a file system or in a database? If database, is it a system-owned database or can also other database systems be used?
All Information will be stored within JCR. The Reference Implementation is included in our distribution.

Is there an integrated media database for pictures, among others?
Images and documents can be uploaded easily via Webbrowser. An integrated document management system (DMS) allows for easy upload of complete document hierarchies and management of of arbitrary meta data.
WebDAV connectivity is in the works.

Which attributes (for example, version, authorisation, publication and expiry date, META information) can be assigned to individual components or sites?
Anything is possible due to Magnolia's highly flexible and customizable architecture.

To which extent are templates used?
Templates are used for WebSite and for Administration as well.

Is there an integrated search function for the website?
Yes

Is there the possibility to automatically generate sitemaps and index sites?
Yes

Is there an automatic link verification with a corresponding correction?
Links are automatically kept up-to-date when moving or renaming pages. External links are not validated. Link validation could be implemented for instance using the integrated workflow module.

Can you define dynamic categories on websites, in which further relevant links are indicated?
Yes

Is it possible to design a generally valid navigation, which is adapted to the context?
Yes, navigation will be automatically updated to reflect the site structure / page hierarchy

Is there an integrated version backup?
Yes

Can a version backup be implemented through additional software?
If needed, additional external versioning can be done.

Can earlier versions of the website or individual components be reestablished and if yes, to which extent?
Pages are versioned as one entity.

Is there an integrated template editor?
Yes, Magnolia Sitedesigner(TM)

Can multilingual contents be administrated?
Yes, template based

Are multilingual clients available?
Yes, roughly 15 languages are currently supported. Additional languages can be added easily if needed
