For which loads (access figures) is the system suitable? Recent tests on a dual-hyper-threaded processor Windows 2000 server showed that with a constant of 6 concurrent users the average request per second dealt with was 25 with zero HTML, socket or connection errors.
Other benchmarks show that for a site with 20,000 hits a day there was only ever 2 concurrent users at any one time. Thus inQuire2 can handle a fairly high load. Is the website statically or dynamically generated and can be selected between both options? It can be both static or dynamic, but not at the same time. Depending on the rate of content changes and power of the web server would depend on which option you choose.
inQuire2 has an optional external application that can generate a static version of the site. These files can then be uploaded to the web server. This application can also be used to create a CD-Rom version of the website.
