Product details

Which operating systems are supported?
The you@web Content Manager is executable on all operating systems for which Lotus Notes/Domino is available, e.g.:
· Windows NT/2000
· different Unix derivatives (AIX…)
· Sun Solaris
· OS/400

Which web servers are supported?
Lotus Domino version 5.07 or higher (5.08 recommended)
Additionally, the “HTML Publisher“ module enables the transformation of dynamic Domino websites into HTML pages. These HTML pages are executable on any web server (e.g. Mi-crosoft IIS, Apache).

Which database systems are supported?
The you@web Content Manager needs Lotus Domino/Notes as database system. An inte-gration of data from relational databases is possible: With the aid of the Knowledge Director in connection with Lotus Notes standard interfaces (LSX: Lotus Script Extensions, DECS: Domino Enterprise Connection Services), market-leading databases such as DB/2 or Oracle can be linked-up. The integration of ERP systems of suppliers like SAP, Baan, or People Soft is likewise possible.

Which script languages can be used?
All languages supported by the Domino server such as Lotus Script, Java Script, or Java can be used. Additionally, “native” HTML code can also be used.

Is additional software required for the normal system operation?
Apart from Lotus Domino/Notes on the web server, no additional software is required. The administration and the content’s maintenance may be carried out alternatively via a web browser or the Notes client.

Which prices does the product have?
The you@web Content Manager is licensed on the basis of the kind of solution (Internet, Intranet/Extranet). We will be glad to provide you with an offer tailored to your specific needs on demand. The starting price of the you@web Content Manager amounts to Euro 9,950.

Which target group(s) do you address with your product or services?
The you@web Content Manager is a scalable system, suitable for departmental solutions and enterprise-wide implementations alike. In particular those enterprises already using Lo-tus Domino/Notes will find the you@web Content Manager their ideal web tool. The existing IT infrastructure will in this case be used optimally.

An Extranet can be realized by means of assigning individual reading rights to every content. This is achieved by using the Notes Reader Fields. The basis for this is the overall security architecture of Lotus Notes.

Which technology/architecture is used?
you@web is based on the technology of Lotus Notes and the Lotus Domino server. For the operation of an Intranet/Internet with the you@web Content Manager, we recommend a physically separated server environment for content provision and productive operation. The content provision server is used only by the authors. Data exchange between content pro-vider and productive server is carried out via replication. For the productive server a dedi-cated Domino server should be used, which is used only as a web server. The dimensioning of the productive server depends on the number of simultaneous end users accessing the system via a web browser (concurrent webusers).
Content Provision Server (example)
· CPU: 1 x Pentium III 800 MHz
· RAM: 512 MB
· operating system: Windows NT/Windows 2000
· or any platforms supported by Lotus
· server software: Lotus Domino (version 5.08 recommended)
Productive Server (example)
· CPU: 2 x Pentium III 800 MHz
· RAM: 1 GB
· operating system: Windows NT/Windows 2000
The described pre-conditions for the productive server in each case apply to 2,500 end us-ers. With larger numbers of users we recommend the setup of a server cluster on basis of a dispatcher for load balancing on network level. Of course also comparable operating systems and/or hardware platforms can be used.
