Are the individual components of the website administrated in a file system or in a database? If database, is it a system-owned database or can also other database systems be used?
The components are stored in a SQL data base (MySQL, Oracle, DB2, Sybase, PostgreSQL, MSSQL, Dbase, Informix, intercousin, Ingres II, mSQL, ODBC...). The structure was object-oriented put on, i.e. arbitrary characteristics can be assigned to the individual components. Easy binding of external data bases possible (LDAP, Active directory, NT domain, Oracle, ODBC, SAP R/3...). Is there an integrated media database for pictures, among others?
Pictures and other files are administered in two medium data bases. The picture data base administers elements, which can be indicated directly in a side, in addition belongs pictures, videos and Flash animations. Additionally a treatment of pictures can be stopped here for each category range, which pictures are scaled and Thumbnails are generated automatically. The second data base administers Downloads (pdf, doc, xls...). The file of the media can take place in both cases in the file system and become the Metainformationen via EGOTEC administered. Which attributes (for example, version, authorisation, publication and expiry date, META information) can be assigned to individual components or sites?
Authorizations, publication date, expiration date, version, author, active/inactively, arbitrary further data as a function of the Eingabetemplate. The attributes can be used for the assortment, Verschlagwortung or classification in columns. To which extent are templates used?
EGOTEC® is based completely on Templates. The Templates specifies the Design of a side (or of parts of a side) and to be able to be at will interlocked. Yes, the navigation structure is produced automatically by the Navigationsgenerator. With the EgoSitemap module index sides are generated automatically. Is there an automatic link verification with a corresponding correction?
Yes, an automatic link examination takes place. With providing and deletion of internal left the examination takes place immediately. External ones left can be timing-steered or examined manually by Linkchecker. When shifting, renaming, deletion and replacing of documents and Multimediadaten the linkages are updated automatically by the link administration. Can you define dynamic categories on websites, in which further relevant links are indicated?
Yes, in EGOTEC key words and columns can be assigned to the sides. Sides can be linked then over key words automatically with certain left ("related left"). Is it possible to design a generally valid navigation, which is adapted to the context?
Yes, the navigation is automatically generated. Is there an integrated version backup?
Yes, with EgoVersion all documents in different versions are administered. The number of secured versions can be configured. If necessary an older version can be restored. Can a version backup be implemented through additional software?
Yes, here all file-based Backupsysteme can be used. The data protection is made available by EGOTEC® in the safeguard listing (XML format). Can earlier versions of the website or individual components be reestablished and if yes, to which extent?
Yes, re-establishment of individual components by means of Versionierung (EgoVersion module) always possible. Data safety devices of the entire Website are accomplished in the XML format and brought in also again. Is there an integrated template editor?
