The open-EIS eGovernment portal system unites transaction security with double sided interactive business process assistance. The solution can also be actuated on other system software, other data bases and “Application Servers” as it is predetermined from the Federal Government. Besides specifically optimised applications for eGovernment solutions, for example form server, document management and search functions all special solutions of the open-EIS knowledge management solution, can be used for the eGovernment solution. You minimize work, because you can actuate the portal complete on a open-source platform under Linux. With open-EIS you can have both central and local server structures for the constitution of your eGovernment solution. With the local version all employees of one location have access to their local server with the intern network spectrum. The synchronisation with the other local and central servers is done by the replication from the application shift. The replication also works, if the server have different system software and data bases. The synchronisation can work both complete and selective. That’s why the local version ( also the information exchange between different public authorities) makes it possible to synchronize only one part of the information.
With the open-EIS eGovernment solution you can use highly available scalable cluster solutions with Lean servers (little cheap server). For maintenance of server, bring in new updates, changing and repairing server and involving new server in the cluster, the server can without shuting down take out of the cluster and also reinsert. There’s no system break (maintenance window) needed to do the cluster solutions.
