Are the individual components of the website administrated in a file system or in a database? If database, is it a system-owned database or can also other database systems be used? All information are stored in databases. The primarily used database is mySQL. Other databases on request. Is there an integrated media database for pictures, among others? Images (RGB and CMYK), vector-based EPS drawings, Flash animations, Videos etc. are stored, edited and classified in the media database. All media feature data and language versions. For each usage of the same media object size, clipping and color effects can be defined separately. Once rendered, media derivates are managed by the multilevel caching engine. Which attributes (for example, version, authorisation, publication and expiry date, META information) can be assigned to individual components or sites? Every object, be it a content page, a database record, a document, an image or a Flash animation, features data- and language versions, publication dates, consistent classifications and freely definable META data. On the base of these attributes, all elements can be automatically combined and linked. To which extent are templates used? Within TOOLPARK pc3 templates are used for layout grids as well as for interactive application interfaces. Templates are build directly within the CMS without programming using so called TOOLBITS. To structure and layout their content pages, authors use flexible and attractive Layout Bricks. Thanks to these LAYOUT BRICKS, most websites only need one or two basic layout templates. This saves time and money and makes them independent from programmers. Is there an integrated search function for the website? TOOLPARK pc3 offers a fully integrated full-text search function with deep links, result ranking and text highlights as well as application specific search features with freely definable logic. Is there the possibility to automatically generate sitemaps and index sites? With TOOLPARK pc3 any structured information like site structure, database contents, articles, attributes, classifications and META data can be used to generate lists, overviews, navigations, promotions and sitemaps. Less work for more outputs. Is there an automatic link verification with a corresponding correction? All internal and external links are managed in a central repository. Once, a linked object is no longer available, the respective links are deactivated in the front-end - in the back-office a warning is displayed. Can you define dynamic categories on websites, in which further relevant links are indicated? All structured contents like special offers, contacts, additional information, glossaries, news etc. can be dynamically integrated at any point of a website. Simply place the TOOLBIT in the respective template and define data source and search criteria. Is it possible to design a generally valid navigation, which is adapted to the context? At every point of a website parts of the site structure or lists of structured contents can be generated as navigation bars or areas which correspond with the actually presented content. Is there an integrated version backup? After every live publication a sub-version of the respective content is generated. In addition authors can save and comment their own versions. This allows webmasters to reestablish every once published saved version of a content at any time. Can a version backup be implemented through additional software? Not necessary because it's already integrated. Can earlier versions of the website or individual components be reestablished and if yes, to which extent? Thanks to the automated versioning every live published version of a website or of a specific content can be reestablished. Is there an integrated template editor? All templates are build directly in the web browser without programming using so called TOOLBITS. Can external editors be integrated? If yes which? Because all contents are easily designed on a high level and stored in a media independent format, there is no need to use simple HTML editors. Is there an object-oriented authoring? Yes, the whole TOOLBITS architecture is based on a object oriented model. Can multilingual contents be administrated? All objects, from templates, databases and content pages to documents and even images, feature a consistent language management. The language can be changed at any point of a website. Objects, that are not available in a language, are ignored or replaced by another language version following predefined rules. Are multilingual clients available? English and German are delivered with the basic installation. Other back-office languages can be added at any time by simply translating the interface labels. With which techniques can an editor transfer contents to the system? a) Direct entry in content editor
