Are the individual components of the website administrated in a file system or in a database? If database, is it a system-owned database or can also other database systems be used?
All contents are stored in the data base. Media files are stored in the file system. Supported data base systems are MySQL, Oracle, MS SQL and PostgreSQL.

Is there an integrated media database for pictures, among others?
Yes. Integrated „Media Center“.

Which attributes (for example, version, authorisation, publication and expiry date, META information) can be assigned to individual components or sites?
Individual components or sides may have assigned authorisation, publishing period, archiving, rank, keywording and meta information. The system allows the free definition of further meta informations.

To which extent are templates used?
Both the data entry and the data`s publishing are served by templates. The templates are maintained in the Open Source Application Server Netautor Professional. At Digital Workroom`s own administration areas (configuration areas) the templates can be modified (configured).

Is there an integrated search function for the website?
Yes.

Is there the possibility to automatically generate sitemaps and index sites?
Yes.

Is there an automatic link verification with a corresponding correction?
All internal Links remain consistent, becouse they are based on IDs within the data base.

Can you define dynamic categories on websites, in which further relevant links are indicated?
Yes.

Is it possible to design a generally valid navigation, which is adapted to the context?
Yes.

Is there an integrated version backup?
Yes.

Can a version backup be implemented through additional software?
Version backup is integrated.

Can earlier versions of the website or individual components be reestablished and if yes, to which extent?
Yes. Complete.

Is there an integrated template editor?
Yes.

Can external editors be integrated? If yes which?
Digital Workroom has two integrated Editors (HTML- and WYSIWYG-Editor). Therefore the direct integration of external editors is not intended.

Normally the integration of external editors for the content maintenance is not wanted, becouse the authors should not exceed the layout`s defaults.

With external editors generated HTML-Code may be taken in the CMS by Copy and Paste.

Is there an object-oriented authoring?
Yes.

Can multilingual contents be administrated?
Yes.

Are multilingual clients available?
The Client is the Web Browser. The Digital Workroom`s standard interface is German, Englisch, Polish and Slovenian. The interface can be provided in other languages by the language file`s adaptation.

With which techniques can an editor transfer contents to the system?
Directly via the Web Browser; automatic resp. semi-automatic data import and synchronisation with external data origins.

Which possibilities are there for editors to work on contents?
Form-based entry. Integrated WYSIWYG-Editor.
