papaya CMS sets great value upon open standards like XML for data storage and XSLT as a template language. The system itself is written in the open source programming language PHP. According to which models are the licence costs calculated?
No license fees have to be paid when papaya CMS is used within the limits set by the GPL. When you plan to use papaya CMS commercially, e.g. by distributing it under a license, special license fees arise.
