EMC Corporation will exhibit at daratechPLANT 2005, a conference for IT solution providers and executives from leading owner/operator and engineering/ procurement/ construction (EPC) firms. The conference is January 24 - 26 in Houston, Texas, and EMC will be in booth #P11, exhibiting its best-in-class plant and facilities management solutions that enable organizations to manage engineering content across the enterprise. For more information, visit: http://www.daratech.com/plant2005/.

EMC recently hosted an online seminar with representatives of the Doka Group, a global process manufacturer, and McLaren Software, an EMC partner and software provider for companies in the process manufacturing, utilities and engineering, design and construction sectors. The seminar discussed how Doka uses solutions from EMC and McLaren to create, collaborate and share engineering content across a large portfolio of distributed projects. To listen to a recording of the online event, visit: http://www.documentum.com/events.

The online event also discussed how organizations can deploy McLaren's Enterprise Engineer Transmittals Manager, built on the EMC Documentum platform, to cost-effectively automate transmittal management processes, replacing error-prone, timely, manual efforts. The solution is also integrated with EMC Documentum eRoom, enabling organizations to give employees, contractors, vendors and suppliers a virtual workspace where they can receive, review and revise transmittals and share other project documents in a secure environment and reduce document shipping costs and complete projects faster by eliminating shipping delays
