CrownPeak, provider of software service for content management, announced it has been named as a finalist in the 20th Annual Codie Awards, sponsored by the Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA). For the third consecutive year, CrownPeak is a finalist in the Best Content Management System category.

The 2005 Codie Awards showcase the software and digital content industry's finest products and services and honor excellence for corporate achievement and philanthropic efforts. "The 20th Annual Codie Awards continue the tradition of honoring the best of the software, content and education technology industries," said Ken Wasch, SIIA President. "When one considers the number of outstanding companies that competed this year, being named a Codie Awards finalist is a significant achievement."

The Codie Awards provide the only peer-recognition program in the software and information industry, a unique venue where companies compete for the praise of their competitors. The 2005 Codie Awards will be presented at a black-tie gala on May 25 at Universal Studio's Globe Theater in Universal City, Calif.

"As a peer recognition program, the Codies are at the apex of our business," said Jim Howard, CEO, CrownPeak. "We're especially pleased to be recognized for the third year in a row, which is a testament to both our internal development and interface teams and to the maturity of the market, which now appreciates that what a product can achieve is far more important than how it's delivered.

"We've pioneered quick, risk-free CMS deployment, without any compromise in features or flexibility," Howard said. "Add to this the inherent advantages of the software-as-a-service model, and our status among the top firms in the space in only our fourth year of operation becomes clear. Our CMS solution is implemented four to ten times faster than typical packaged solution deployment, at roughly a fifth of the cost. CrownPeak CMS remains the first product of its kind to enable businesses to deploy an enterprise-class CMS rapidly and affordably, and that's why we've helped transform the content management segment."

CrownPeak's inclusion as a 2005 Codies finalist follows the recent launch of CrownPeak Search, the first on-demand web site search system to automatically learn from the behavior and content on customer websites and deliver the most relevant search results. It is the first on-demand search tool built specifically to add value to web content, helping organizations dramatically enhance the site search experience for site visitors.

The Software & Information Industry Association (SIIA) is the principal trade association for the software and digital content industry. SIIA provides global services in government relations, business development, corporate education and intellectual property protection to more than 600 leading software and information companies.
