Hyperwave Ltd has launched a new out of the box solution that addresses the needs of all Healthcare/Public Sector organisations in the management of FOI requests.

Easy to implement and even easier to use, Hyperwave`s FOI solution will enable organisations to satisfy their FOI administrative requirements quickly and cost effectively. It can also manage both DPA (Data Protection Act) and EIR (Environmental Information Regulation) requests.

The Freedom of Information Act requires a systematic approach to the management of requests. Most organisations hold a vast amount of data gathered over many years, both on paper and electronically. So the challenge is how to handle requests in a process driven way. With Hyperwave, every request for information is tracked from when it arrives in the organisation to its completion and filing. While managing all RFI details electronically, Hyperwave automatically creates and assigns workflow tasks for the participants, and logs all lifecycle information of a request within its database for later reference. As all content is tagged and indexed, the solution enables easy to use search and retrieval of data for frequently asked questions. Hybrid requests and appeals handling are further features of the Hyperwave FOI Solution.

The solution is based on IS/6, Hyperwave`s award winning server platform which incorporates full integrated enterprise workflow and a search facility. The FOI solution is, of course, also fully integrated with Hyperwave`s National Archives (TNA) certified electronic document records management system and its web content management solution.

The solution adheres to the Department of Constitutional Affairs Generic IT specification, meeting all the Freedom of Information Act`s guidelines and has been developed with extensive consultation from Hyperwave's Local Government User Group Community.

Terry Jordan, general manager, Hyperwave Ltd said "the number of information requests coming into organisations is ever growing and this simple to use solution can greatly assist in the management of these without disrupting current work practices". “We have tested this solution with a number of our public sector users to ensure ease of use following standard processes. “

Priced at £24, 500.00 including installation, training and a maintenance package, Hyperwave also offer a 30 day free of charge use of the solution as a proof of concept.
