RedDot Solutions, provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, today announced the launch of its new Web Compliance Manager at FOSE 2005. Developed with the prestigious Fraunhofer Institute for Applied Information Technology FIT, RedDot's Web Compliance Manager is an add-on module to the CMS and XCMS enterprise content management offerings to ensure Web sites, portals and intranets are 508 and WCAG compliant. RedDot Solutions is the only ECM provider to offer fully integrated compliance management.

The new software solution helps organizations comply with legal requirements, international standards and corporate guidelines. RedDot's Web Compliance Manager will ensure compliance with Section 508 and WCAG A, AA and AAA standards, while also checking for spelling mistakes, broken links and missing graphics. Web Compliance Manager automatically reads Web sites and style sheets and prevents any non-compliant content from being published. RedDot's Web Compliance Manager can also be customized to check for privacy policy violations, verify safe harbor statements and enforce corporate branding standards, including consistent use of color, logo usage and product terminology.

"Today, government agencies, organizations that do business with the government and many other businesses face the need to comply with numerous domestic and international guidelines," said Detlef Kamps, president of RedDot Solutions. "While these are mandated requirements, many organizations do not have the necessary resources to verify the diverse compliance guidelines in effect. With the introduction of RedDot's Web Compliance Manager, organizations can now easily comply with these guidelines."

RedDot's Web Compliance Manager module will be available in the second quarter of 2005.

Section 508
Section 508 is an amendment passed in 1998 as part of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990. ADA of 1990 was in turn, an amendment to the Vocational Rehabilitation Act of 1973. Section 508 mandates that all information technology purchased by the US Federal Government, and all agencies therein, be accessible and usable by disabled persons. Also covered under this mandate are all State and local Governments, along with Universities, Nonprofits and other public institutions who receive grants through the Assistive Technology Fund (set up through the Assistive Technology Act, passed in 2000).
