ClearStory Systems(TM), provider of enterprise content management solutions, announced the release of the Radiant Enterprise Media Server (EMS) 2.0, an enhanced version of its next-generation media services software platform. Radiant EMS features uncompromised functionality for managing complex video, graphics, compound documents, and other rich media; and a highly flexible, fully capable foundation for forward-looking enterprise content management (ECM). This new release builds on ClearStory Systems' legacy of providing enterprise digital asset management (DAM) solutions that offer a lower total cost of ownership through their rapid deployment capabilities, ease of use, and simple administration.

Increasingly, advertising, post-production, media and print services companies are looking to augment their service offerings with technology solutions for their client base. Many of their homegrown or legacy systems are unable to scale or lack the unique underpinnings required for the management of complex rich media files. A pure J2EE system with services- oriented architecture (SOA), Radiant EMS offers advanced capabilities for the management of rich media, providing deployment flexibility; alignment with current best practices in IT infrastructure; and the ability to integrate with and leverage a broad array of third party and open source media processing tools.

Unparalleled Capabilities

Radiant EMS supports wide ranging and complex file types with the ability to ingest and manage links between related files. File types supported include all encoded video formats as well as specialized metadata types such as vdf. Radiant EMS offers superior compound document capabilities for complex file types like Adobe InDesign and Quark Xpress. Enhanced taxonomy, metadata, and security features provide modeling flexibility, which is critical for business agility. Radiant EMS supports true asset-level security and permissions, which allows companies to build OEM solutions that readily manage the delivery of the right content to only the right individuals and groups. High performance APIs allow for rapid creation of new applications, and integration with new or existing workflow.

"We continue building on our deep experience and expertise to help companies address the rapidly evolving challenges in extending their rich media and graphic services," comments Henry F. Nelson, ClearStory Systems president and CEO. "Certain key markets have come to recognize the opportunity presented by delivering rich media content through multiple channels to global user constituencies. Radiant EMS provides a powerful platform for the development of rich media applications, deep integration with other enterprise systems, and on-demand delivery of rich media services."

ClearStory will demonstrate Radiant EMS 2.0 at the National Association of Broadcasters tradeshow, in the Digital Asset Management Pavilion, Booth# SL4259C.
