Stellent, Inc., a global provider of content management solutions, announced it was among the select companies Forrester invited to participate in its April 6, 2005, Forrester Wave report, “The Forrester Wave™: Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Software, Q1 2005.” In this evaluation, Stellent was cited as a strong performer in the Sarbanes-Oxley compliance software landscape. Forrester is an independent technology research company that provides pragmatic and forward-thinking advice about technology's impact on business.

“We are pleased to provide today’s businesses with a comprehensive, functional application for streamlining the compliance processes associated with the information-intensive Sarbanes-Oxley mandate,” said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. “We consider ourselves a pioneer when it comes to applying content management to help meet emerging business requirements, such as Sarbanes-Oxley compliance initiatives – a belief supported through Stellent’s inclusion as the only pure-play enterprise content management vendor evaluated in this Forrester Wave report.”

Participating vendors’ Sarbanes-Oxley compliance software solutions were independently evaluated against approximately 60 criteria through a combination of questionnaire responses, supplemental information, and knowledge derived from product demonstrations, briefings and ongoing research. According to the report, the ability to store and manage relevant content and documents; the ability to support full records management; and workflow are advantages for Sarbanes-Oxley solutions, but support is limited in most products. Only Stellent provides a robust capability for content management and records management via its Stellent® Sarbanes-Oxley Solution.

The Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley Solution helps companies efficiently manage and approve content related to financial and non-financial disclosures as well as Section 404 compliance. The solution enables companies to address the initial documentation and identification of key processes and controls as required by the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and automates testing processes to ease the ongoing resource requirements. Version 7.5 of the Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley Solution was released in February 2005 and features customer-driven enhancements developed to speed implementations, increase ease-of-use and augment reporting capabilities. These enhancements were shaped in conjunction with input from Protiviti Inc., a leading internal audit and business and technology risk consulting firm, with whom Stellent holds a strategic integration and consulting agreement.
