Chalk Media releases robust Learning Content Management System (LCMS) software platform
Chalk Media Corp. announces the release of its Learning Content Management System: "ChalkBoard(TM) LCMS v2.5" ('ChalkBoard(TM)'). An LCMS is an enhanced Learning Management System (LMS) software platform which allows administrators to manage the actual creation, delivery and tracking of courses. ChalkBoard(TM) was initially developed to enrich Chalk Media's ability to effectively produce and deliver innovative and stable learning solutions. Now, as a standalone product, it is a direct revenue stream for Chalk Media.
Chalk Media has been developing robust and customized learning solutions for five years. For customers with more traditional learning solutions, Chalk Media found that several did not have a learning software platform that could provide course metrics and allow for an easy return on investment (ROI) calculation. Further, Chalk Media's customers were struggling to achieve a satisfactory level of accountability as they did not have access to proof of training. As a result, Chalk Media created the required tools so that they could not only deliver content, but also track and report on learner progress. For customers with a more marketing-focused learning initiative, Chalk Media found that a major pain point was the ability to update the content on an ongoing basis. Chalk Media subsequently created this LCMS so that customers could edit and update the content that was created for them long after it was delivered.

Like a real classroom chalkboard, ChalkBoard(TM) LCMS allows multiple authors to publish content, and then easily edit that content without any prior training or authoring tools. It is an incredibly user-friendly solution with a flexible, open architecture and dynamic, enterprise-wide reporting capabilities. Further, it is a hosted solution, 100% web-based and fully customizable for a client's look and feel. The ChalkBoard(TM) solution allows users to customize not only the individual courses, but the entire interface and navigation system.
