RedDot Solutions, provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) solutions, announced it was named a “Strong Performer” for Intra- and Inter- net initiatives in Forrester’s Web Content Management Internal Sites Wave in the April 15, 2005 Forrester Wave report, “Web Content Management, Q1 2005.” The report corroborates RedDot’s exceptional midmarket performance in 2004 that included double digit revenue growth, significant new customer adoption and market validation via industry awards and accolades.

To compile the report, Forrester evaluated nine Web content management vendors and tested the ability of each vendor’s solutions to support a range of Web site implementations. Through hands-on lab evaluations, vendor surveys, interviews and product demos, Forrester tested two usage scenarios, external site publishing and internal site publishing, against more than 200 evaluation criteria.

Forrester tested RedDot’s CMS 6.0, a Web content management solution, and LiveServer 2.2, a personalization and integration solution. Forrester found that “RedDot’s core strength lies in ease of use for contributors and business users.” In particular, Forrester notes that the products have the ability to meet a key usability requirement expressed by many organizations. This is accomplished by in-line editing support that enables non-technical users to contribute, edit and review content in context with the managed site.

When examining the Web content management market as a whole, Forrester found that content contributors and business users want more usability from Web content management solutions in order to better contribute to company sites. In the internal site support category, Forrester named RedDot a Strong Performer, citing that “RedDot’s internal site support is highlighted by a focus on usability, clearly seen in the product’s in-context editing capabilities.”

The report also noted that “RedDot Solutions’ CMS 6.0 and LiveServer 2.2 provide easy-to-use Web content management and delivery capabilities targeted at enterprise-class organizations with fewer than 5,000 employees.”

“RedDot was one of the first ECM vendors to develop software for the midmarket; we have maintained a steady focus on designing easy to use and affordable solutions tailored to meet their challenges,” said Detlef Kamps, president of RedDot Solutions. “Forrester’s report substantiates our strategy and confirms our market-mover advantage as the tool-of-choice for midmarket organizations around the world.”

In addition to continuing new product innovation in 2004, such as the introduction of LiveServer evaluated for this report, RedDot continued to out-perform other Web content management providers in the areas of overall corporate performance. RedDot achieved 50 percent revenue growth in the US alone over 2003, with the fourth quarter of 2004 reporting the strongest fiscal performance in corporate history. RedDot has achieved steady positive revenue growth since the company’s founding.

Additionally, RedDot signed more than 200 new customers in 2004 and received added market validation by securing coveted industry accolades such as KMWorld's “100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management” that cited RedDot’s XCMS as a "Trend Setting Product." The company also was named by EContent magazine as a "Top 100 in the Digital Content Industry” and recognized as a "Fast 50" company by Deloitte & Touche for the second consecutive year.
