Yaletown Technology Group Releases Universal File Importer 5.0
Yaletown Technology Group Inc., provider of enterprise compliance solutions, announced the release of Universal File Importer ( UFI ) 5.0 for FileNet P8, the only automated solution for loading documents into FileNet Corporation’s Enterprise Content Management repositories. FileNet Corporation is the leading provider of enterprise content and business process management solutions. UFI 5.0 allows organizations to quickly and easily migrate large volumes of files into their FileNet repositories for a multitude of business purposes, including records management and file system management.
Universal File Importer 5.0 for FileNet P8 features several new functional enhancements including rules-based document loading/indexing and expanded support for document metadata files and Unicode character sets, in addition to FileNet Content Manager and Records Manager support. UFI’s fully automated file loading process means less administrator time and effort is required to import files during migration and file transfer activities. “UFI, with its new features, helps organizations maximize their FileNet investment by enabling them to consolidate, secure and leverage their content assets in the most efficient way possible,” noted Adam Wilkins, vice president of business development at Yaletown Technology Group.
UFI’s configurable file handling options also permit easy adherence to records management file plans. By using UFI to move content into a secure FileNet repository, organizations can quickly and easily reduce the amount of unmanaged content in file systems and network drives, thereby improving adherence to records management and compliance requirements.
Furthermore, companies using FileNet Enterprise Content Management solutions commonly have to import large volumes of files on a regular basis for other business purposes, such as system upgrades, regular scheduled loading of files from third party sources, and migrations into FileNet P8.
