Stellent, Inc., a global provider of content management solutions, announced it received a 2004 Canadian e-Content Award from the e-Content Institute for its innovative customer relationship management (CRM) deployment of Stellent® Universal Content Management at Bell Canada — Canada’s national leader in communications. Canadian e-Content Awards were presented in eight categories during a special ceremony at the Information Highways conference held on April 6, 2005 in Toronto.

“The Canadian e-Content Awards were created to recognize and honor e-content products and services used by Canadian organizations and individuals,” said David Shinwell, president of the e-Content Institute. “The caliber of this year’s winners and entrants is evidence that the Canadian e-content industry is flourishing, and we are pleased to distinguish Stellent with our ‘Innovative Application Award’ for the inventive implementation of its content management technology at Bell Canada.”

Bell Canada utilizes Stellent technology as a single-source knowledge repository for reliable, up-to-date and relevant information for its customer service representatives located in call centers throughout Canada. Stellent Universal Content Management technology helps Bell Canada gain efficiency on calls where assistance is required; increase productivity and communication; and improve overall customer satisfaction through quicker access to information, such as product specifications, warranties, services plans, billing rates, promotions, etc.

According to the e-Content Institute judging committee, Stellent Universal Content Management was praised for its CRM utility and search, retrieval and archiving functionality.

“Our Stellent deployment has provided the basic foundation to meet and exceed expectations at Bell Canada by improving productivity, reducing overhead costs and impacting the bottom line,” said Domenica Maciocia, vice president of shared services for Bell Canada.

“We are thrilled to receive a Canadian e-Content Award for Bell Canada’s implementation of our content management technology,” said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. “This award further demonstrates how organizations can tap Stellent Universal Content Management to power innovative line-of-business applications – such as Bell Canada’s call center – as well as strategic, enterprise-wide initiatives.”
