FileNet Corporation, provider of Enterprise Content and Business Process Management solutions, announced that its Enterprise Content Management platform, FileNet P8 has achieved SAP certification for integration of its new J2EE-based Application Connector with the SAP NetWeaver(TM) open integration and application platform. The connector provides seamless interoperability between the SAP® R/3® software solution and FileNet's P8.

FileNet's P8 Application Connector provides users of SAP R/3 with a high-performance, highly scalable solution for Enterprise Content Management. As a result of the integration, users of SAP R/3 can directly access and view critical documents stored and managed by FileNet P8 that are related to their SAP solution-based transactions, directly from the SAP user interface.

"We are very pleased to attain SAP certified integration," said Martyn Christian, chief marketing officer for FileNet. "This important certification compliments our solution portfolio in support of SAP solutions and demonstrates our strategic commitment to the partnership with the world's leading provider of business software solutions."

An SAP Software Partner, FileNet provides ECM solutions that interface with SAP business applications, share common architectures, and leverage open standards. FileNet's relationship with SAP began in 1996 when FileNet became one of the first ECM vendors with a solution certified to integrate content management solutions with SAP R/3. Since that time, hundreds of large corporations using SAP solutions worldwide have chosen FileNet's ECM platform to enhance system performance.

"We are very impressed with the functionality, scalability and performance of FileNet's Application Connector," said Martin Altenhof from Allianz Global Information Systems (AGIS). "We expect to see significant savings from its open J2EE architecture in the areas of systems management and enterprise deployment, as well as flexibility from its multiple use cases such as Accounts Payable, Contract Management and for regulatory compliance at all Allianz companies in Germany."

FileNet's P8 Application Connector achieved SAP certified integration at the Unisys Enterprise Performance Lab in Mission Viejo, Calif., with Unisys' ES7000 Enterprise Server providing the functional certification on SAP ArchiveLink 4.5 based on the HTTP Content Server 4.5 interface and also a performance certification based on the Performance Load test.
