Solimar Systems, Inc., provider of production printing and secure document delivery solutions, announced the release of Rubika, a powerful PDF-centric workflow software solution for variable data print processes. The latest addition to Solimar's powerful suite of enterprise output management solutions, Rubika solves many problems associated with using legacy and PDF print data in high volume transactional printing and online viewing environments.

"Rubika enables our clients to re-engineer and repurpose their production workflows by merging, cleansing, sorting, barcoding and finishing transactional document content while at the same time leveraging the open and highly versatile Adobe PDF format," explains Mary Ann Rowan, Solimar Vice President of Sales and Marketing.

Rubika users are able to:

* Intelligently merge and weave multiple documents
* Segment documents based upon the number of sheets to be printed
* Cleanse mailing addresses
* Add OMR and barcode content for inserter control
* Change or add finishing information to PDF content
* Conditionally add overlays and underlays
* Presort documents to achieve postal discounts

"When coupled with the highly popular Solimar(r) Print/Director, Rubika empowers users to integrate and control virtually any data stream into consolidated workflows" says Rowan. Rubika leverages Solimar's many years of experience as a leading supplier of PDF-enabled solutions for the service bureau and financial services market. Rubika complements Solimar's successful SOLindexer(tm), SOLsearcher(tm) Enterprise, and Solimar(r) Print/Director product lines which index and deliver PDF content for web presentment, as well as print PDF documents on production and distributed black/white and full color laser printers.

When used in conjunction with the Solimar(r) Print/Director product line, Rubika allows users to:

* Integrate AFPDS, IPDS, PostScript, VIPP(r), DJDE/Metacode, PCL and PDF content into consolidated workflows
* Print PDF content on high speed cut sheet and continuous feed devices with full fidelity

Available immediately, Rubika further demonstrates Solimar Systems' continued commitment to delivering powerful solutions for its customers by providing the ability to distribute and manage high-volume transactional documents electronically.
