codeMantra has announced that they have partnered with Oxford University Press, Inc. to provide a comprehensive digital asset archive, retrieval, and distribution system.

"With this system from codeMantra, Oxford University Press can now better focus on our digital distribution initiatives," commented Evan Schnittman, Vice President and Senior Director of Rights and Business Development, "and not the logistics of file and content management.

"codeMantra's solution brings a quality technical infrastructure, a publisher-oriented system, and a solid partner in the digital publishing space," Schnittman continued.

The Digital Asset Management System (DAMS) combines fully supported, offsite storage with robust web-based tools to allow remote management from multiple locations, and supports any file type or format. The system provides a complete suite of tools enabling content owners to manage and distribute their digital assets with ease.

The DAMS officially went online for Oxford University Press on May 1, 2005. The system currently holds more than 25,000 metadata records and more than 5,000 titles in various formats. The title load is scheduled to double to 10,000 within one month as the system is populated with legacy digital files. All titles published going forward will be uploaded into the system and available for digital distribution.

"Working with Oxford University Press on this system has made this launch a success," said Tyler Ruse, Director of Technology at codeMantra. "Combining our knowledge of digital publishing and technology with Oxford University Press' publishing expertise and rich content has ensured the quality and comprehensive functionality of the system."

The codeMantra Digital Asset Management System will be on display June 3- 5, 2005 at booth #5267 at BookExpo America in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City. Demonstrations will be available of the DAMS, as well as the other digital publishing products and services available from codeMantra.
