PGK Software & Communication GmbH from Staufen/Germany announced the release of the new version 2006 of it’s Content Manangement System QualiSite at the occasion of a press conference. Following their strategy „Easy-to-use plus professional tools“, QualiSite was optimized and upgraded in many fields.

„This focus“, says CTO Patrick, A. Lorenz, responsible for the product development at PGK, „has always been part of our conceptual design and enabled us to improve our top position among .NET-based Content Management systems .“ „QualiSite“, continues Lorenz, „is a technological high-end-solution based on .NET. At the same time we emphasize on an easy and intuitive usability of the software. With the new version we again furnished proof that this doesn’t have to be a contradiction.

The usability, which by definition is one of the key requirements of a CMS got a completely new concept. It’s clearly arranged user interface with a style similar to the ones of current office applications allows an intuitive usability of all functionalities. Each website has it’s own navigation area. The tree view bundles all elements of the chosen website as navigation, pages, modules and templates. The WYSIWYG-editing can be opened in a seperate window if desired.

New functionalities and editors fulfill the highest expectations in terms of professionality and flexibility. Among others:

The newly designed media library persuades with various important functions as real file names (for example: /docs/produkt.pdf), personalized access protection, upload und unpacking of ZIP-archives. Pictures can be edited directly in the browser – no need for any further software or specific knowledge.

The new form editor offers a lot of possibilities to develop even complex and individual forms. Input boxes, dialogs across several pages, conditioned enquiries and much more can be integrated easily. Specific knowledge again is not required.

The unique concept for user rights goes as far as to the level of objects but rights can be adopted as well on the basis of multiple clients or for different websites. Protected areas of a website or personalized views can be generated this way with a minimum of effort.

All the novelties will be presented to the public in detail at the beginning of June 2005.

QualiSite is the .NET-based Content Management System of PGK Software & Communication GmbH, Staufen/Germany. Multilingual websites, a professional translation workflow and standardized and open interfaces for a flexible enhancement and integration of other databases are the key functions of the system. Customers and QualiSite-Partners can therewith develop even complex and individual adaptations on their own.
