Vignette Corp. announced that it has named Brett Bachman as senior vice president of products, strategy and worldwide marketing. In this role, Bachman will drive Vignette's products, marketing and go-to-market strategies, and is charged with guiding the product lifecycle process from product requirements definition through positioning, packaging, and deliverables for Vignette's award-winning enterprise content management solutions.

"Brett's impressive career as a leader at many of the world's best known and respected enterprise software companies makes me confident that he will make an immediate and profound impact at Vignette," said Thomas E. "Vignette is the best positioned enterprise content management company with award-winning products and services in one of the fastest-growing markets in the software industry," said Bachman. "I'm looking forward to rolling up my sleeves and joining this world-class organization to help it raise its visibility and capitalize on the impressive set of assets it has assembled. I believe my industry experience and the combination of operational and managerial skills will help Vignette continue to deliver innovative solutions that meet and exceed customer requirements."
