Insurance group plans implementation of the integration platform for all operating companies.

After an intensive selection process conducted over several months, the Karlsruher Insurance Group decided for the FIRSTspirit Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS). Initially the Java-based integration platform will be implemented at various operating companies, and the perspective is that it will serve as the basis for a central information hub for the entire group of companies. The product from the Dortmund software house The e-Spirit Company was able to stand its ground against a number of other manufacturers. Project leader Mr. Steffen Krutki had this to say: "Up to this point we have had very positive experiences as far as the technical platform, and the motivation to provide service of e-Spirit are concerned."

KARLSRUHER

The Karlsruher Insurance Group includes five insurance companies and two service companies. The Karlsruher Insurance Group offers all insurance categories, concentrates on servicing medium-sized businesses and private customers, and is focused on the German market.

Intensive selection process

Because the new FIRSTspirit platform will be implemented for all KARLSRUHER companies, the selection process was very intensive. An external consultant accompanied the selection. The suitability of FIRSTspirit in practical application was evaluated in concrete projects, through an extensive test configuration. "FIRSTspirit totally satisfied our expectations in the test configuration, and the support provided by e-Spirit in all phases was outstanding", was how Steffen Krutki, responsible project leader at KARLSRUHER summarized the decision.
