Igentics, the Cambridge-based Internet engineering company, has delivered a dynamic content management system to Inforenz (www.inforenz.com), the computer forensics investigators.
The custom-built system, based on web standards and hosted by Igentics, provides Inforenz with a secure, functionally-rich and easily navigable e-business web site from which customers can download and buy its Forager® software tool and find out about its information forensics services.
Inforenz provides software products and consultancy services to government, law enforcement agencies, commercial law firms, financial institutions, forensic accountants and corporate investigators seeking to recover digital evidence.
"As a computer forensics specialist, security of our company website is naturally a high priority,” said Nick Spenceley, director of Inforenz. "We selected Igentics not just because they clearly had the skills to build an easily updateable website to our design specifications, but also because they have a good understanding of Internet security issues and have a high degree of integrity. The site they built for us has performed well under our penetration testing and we are delighted with the overall result.”
Igentics custom-builds strategic and innovative Internet-enabled applications, which make it easier for companies to trade. Igentics’ team of business analysts and software engineers tailor solutions that help customers to exploit the full potential of their data online.
David Donnan, co-founder and managing director of Igentics, said: "We have delivered a cost-effective and tailored solution to Inforenz which provides real business benefits to the company. This is yet another example of a company that has rejected an expensive off-the-shelf solution in favour of a custom built application which delivers the precise functionality required.”
Igentics was founded in 2001 by industry veterans David Donnan and Greg Holmes. The company has a creative, methodical and holistic approach to IT projects and offers a range of solutions including E-procurement, supply chain integration, technical scoping, real time data solutions, data exchanges and customer/supplier portals. Igentics is technology agnostic but has strong links with strategic partners including Microsoft, Sun and IBM - and has an excellent track record of linking and integrating systems, in particular, legacy systems.
Igentics has worked in partnership with a whole range of organisations from government departments and start-ups through to multinational companies. These include, among others, AOL, Anglia Property Preservation, the BBC, Blue grape, Cadogan Education, Cambridgeshire County Council, Cambridgeshire Learning & Skills Council, Cornelius, Costa Dating, Ericsson, Norgren and Wyko.
