Intershop Communications AG is teaming with London-based Xceliant Limited to form Intershop UK and Ireland. The new Intershop UK and Ireland operation is part of Intershop's growth strategy, focusing on Europe's largest market for e-commerce solutions.
"Intershop simply has to have a presence in the UK market," explains Ralf Männlein, the Intershop board member responsible for sales and marketing. "The market offers exciting potential and thanks to our activities in UK and Ireland, Intershop enjoys a high level of brand recognition and demand for our solutions."
Intershop has an established portfolio of customers in the UK, including leading names such as Ministry of Defence, Institute of Directors, IDIS, IDEAL Hardware and Williams Lea. "Establishing Intershop UK and Ireland is integral to our strategy and ambitions to become a leading provider of e-commerce solutions in the largest European market" concludes Männlein.
