FileNet Corporation, provider of Enterprise Content and Business Process Management solutions, introduced the latest version of its FileNet P8 Web content management suite, FileNet Web Content Manager 3.0 (WCM 3.0).

FileNet Web Content Manager is an ECM solution that leverages FileNet P8's world-class content management and integrated business process management capabilities to enable non-technical business users to design, create, review, manage, and publish Web content while still providing Webmasters the capability to effectively administer multiple Web sites. WCM 3.0 provides an object-based WCM solution that separates content from layout, and provides content re-use across sites for enforcement of branding and consistency.

Among the new and enhanced features of FileNet Web Content Manager is integration with FileNet's industry-leading Business Process Management capabilities and support for clustering for improved scalability. WCM 3.0 also features a new FileNet P8 integrated, user interface that provides intuitive, easy-to-use content entry templates, and a component level architecture, which supports versioning and the revision of content at the object level, rather than the page level.

FileNet Web Content leverages FileNet Content Manager's document, content, and lifecycle management capabilities which enables FileNet Web Content Manager to manage all types of unstructured content for the Web, including hard copy documents, HTML, XML, rich media, PDF and email, enabling organizations to reuse, repurpose and leverage content throughout the organization. WCM 3.0 also leverages FileNet P8's Active Content capabilities to automate many frequent Web tasks and to drive content activities to completion.

Additionally, FileNet Web Content Manager can deliver event-driven Web content updates and workflow and process management capabilities through its integration with FileNet Business Process Manager. This event-driven architecture links content to business events, helping to shorten Web publishing cycle time and ensuring Web content is timely, accurate and relevant.

This focus on supporting both content and process enables organizations to gain control of their Web content, and actively manage it throughout its lifecycle. FileNet Web Content Manager also provides audit trails to comply with regulatory mandates and corporate governance standards.

FileNet Web Content Manager also integrates with existing enterprise applications by leveraging industry standards such as J2EE, XML and SOAP.

Like all of FileNet's product suites, FileNet Web Content Manager is built on FileNet P8, a reliable, scalable and highly available enterprise platform that integrates content and business processes across the enterprise. FileNet P8 enables organizations to address a broad range of content and process management needs to increase operational efficiency and lower total cost of ownership.
