Eedo Knowledgeware(TM), a provider of innovative software products for Real-Time Learning and Knowledge systems announced that Boeing Integrated Defense Systems (The Boeing Company) has purchased Eedo's Learning Content Management System, ForceTen(TM), to deliver learning and training to tens of thousands of customers worldwide.

Boeing Integrated Defense Systems is a $30.5 billion business with more than 80,000 employees. The Boeing Integrated Defense Systems strategy is to understand the enduring needs of customers and provide value-added solutions to meet their requirements.

The company builds all their learning content in-house and is responsible for supplying training relating to weapons and aircraft capabilities, intelligence and surveillance systems, communications architectures and extensive large-scale integration expertise. Customers supported include Logistics Support Services, Air Force Systems, Army Systems, Missile Defense Systems, NASA Systems, Naval Systems and Space and Intelligence Systems.

"Companies that build enterprise-wide e-learning systems can extend them to provide value to customers, partners and suppliers. Effectively training customers is an important ingredient for achieving business goals and staying competitive," said Waldir Arevolo De Azevedo Filho, Research Director, Gartner Inc.

Due to the large volume of content and courses that The Boeing Company creates and provides to a wide audience, the ability to ingest legacy content easily and create assets once and reuse multiple times for different purposes was critical. As an example, content needs to be modified based on the aircraft that is being purchased, the country purchasing it and the role of the learner. Aircrew need to learn different things about a plane than the airplane maintainers. With Eedo's ForceTen LCMS, knowledge assets are created once and can be reused and repurposed based on the role of the learner and the course being developed.

"Eedo's ForceTen solution will provide Boeing Integrated Defense Systems with a highly secure total workflow environment to build content and deliver it based on the roles of the learners. This gives Boeing an opportunity to achieve great economies of scale due to the ability to repurpose assets across their learning portfolio, while providing customized training for their customers," said John Hudson, CEO of Eedo Knowledgeware.
