Berlin based Ovidius GmbH has appointed Phill Barratt as
Marketing and Sales Director - Europe, with responsibility for the development of the marketing and sales strategy for European markets. With this new hire Ovidius reinforces its position as a leading consultantcy and solution provider for SGML / XML-based information management and publishing in Europe.

Phill Barratt has built his experience of the SGML and XML-business space over many years. Before moving to Ovidius he was European head of Corporate Solutions at Blast Radius Inc. Prior to that he was at Corel Inc. Europe, firstly as Business Development Manager for XML solutions and subsequently leading the Corporate Solutions division.

"Phill’s great experience combined with his sales and marketing expertise in the XML-space mean this appointment is a great win for us. We’re counting on his international experience and
are confident that his European network will put us in the best possible position for developing the European market”, said Klaus Fenchel, managing director of Berlin-based Ovidius GmbH.

The new Marketing and Sales Director also has clear priorities: "My aim is to improve the sales channels for Ovidius’ high-quality products outside Germany”, added Phill.
