The joint solution enables fast migration of any legacy content into the CoreMedia platform and at the same time continuous of content when multiple content repositories are running live concurrently.

CoreMedia and Kapow Technologies today announced an extension of their partnership enabling continuous migration and integration of content into the CoreMedia CMS system using the Kapow Web Integration Platform.

The solution demonstrated at CoreMedia’s stand at CeBIT 2006 (hall 3, stand D17), uses the Kapow platform to access any web accessible content, even behind authentication, and via the web browser front-end. It extracts the appropriate content, appends appropriate metadata and inserts it in real-time into CoreMedia CMS.

When a customer needs to continuous migrate content between a set of content management systems and the CoreMedia repository, the Web Integration Platform first logs on to each system. While navigating through each page it documents and extracts all the changed and new sources before reformating it to the CoreMedia structure. The content is automatically inserted into the CoreMedia repository either via the systems web front-end or via the data exchange application program interface. As a result, integration is simplified and project delivery is faster.

The Kapow Web Integration Platform is based on the concept of custom-created "robots”. Robots are designed to access Web resources and automate Web interactions to extract and re-use online content, data or business functionality. The platform includes an intuitive visual design environment that creates content migration solutions without any programming required.
Deployed at over 120 major corporations worldwide, the Kapow Web Integration platform has been used to collect and continuous migrate content in large-scale deployments accessing over 33,000 pages of content and migrate this content into a new CMS.

"We are very dependant upon having a strong CMS store for our continuous content migration solution” says Darius Heisig, General Manager Kapow Technologies Germany. "With our proven joint solution with CoreMedia, customers are able to quickly get access to content and store it in a single central repository without having to worry about big-bang migrations,” Mr. Heisig continues.

"One of the big challenges in a successful CMS consolidation project is to get legacy content into the CMS without disrupting business. With this CoreMedia Partner Solution, our customers can achieve faster and better results than with traditional integration approaches, with far less risk to existing production systems", comments Dr. Willms Buhse, Director Products & Marketing CoreMedia AG.

CoreMedia and Kapow Technologies demonstrate this solution at the CoreMedia CeBit 2006 stand Hall 3, D17.
