Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq: STEL), a global provider of content management solutions, announced today it was among the select companies Forrester invited to participate in its March 16, 2006 Forrester Wave report, "The Forrester Wave: Governance, Risk, and Compliance Platforms, Q1 2006." In this evaluation, Stellent was cited as a strong performer in the governance, risk and compliance (GRC) market. Forrester is an independent technology and market research company that provides pragmatic and forward-thinking advice about technology’s impact on business and consumers.

According to The Forrester Wave report1, "With its Universal Content Management platform, Stellent leverages its experience in content management to provide a solution that can be tailored to meet special GRC purposes. Whereas some content management players have generically approached GRC requirements, Stellent has built a special application to meet GRC requirements. … The Stellent platform provides a solution to organizations that want to leverage the platform for broader content management investments as well as for GRC purposes."

In addition, as noted within Forrester’s accompanying March 16, 2006 Tech Choices vendor summary titled "Stellent Is A Strong Performer In Governance, Risk, And Compliance Platforms,"2 "Stellent is already a dominant and stable content management vendor. … Organizations already using the Stellent platform or customers looking for a GRC platform with strong content management features will and Stellent’s solution appealing. … Stellent’s solution provides workflow and business process management, which allows customers to integrate the platform with a wide range of other systems - from desktop operating systems to ERP systems."

"We are pleased to add this latest recognition from Forrester to an increasing number of accolades we have received for our GRC strategy," said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. "We believe as companies increasingly recognize the value of an enterprise-wide approach to multiple risk management and compliance initiatives, the features and functionality of Stellent Universal Content Management and the Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley Solution will help our customers address their specific GRC needs."

Forrester also cited Stellent as a strong performer in its Oct. 7, 2005 report, "The Forrester Wave: Enterprise Content Management Suites, Q3 2005."3 In this evaluation, Stellent garnered the top ranking in the "Current Offering" category. Additionally, in its April 6, 2005 report, "The Forrester Wave: Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Software, Q1 2005,"4 Forrester cited Stellent as a strong performer. And, in its May 20, 2005 report titled "Sarbanes-Oxley Compliance Software Scorecard Summary: Stellent,"5 Forrester recognized the Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley Solution as having the strongest content and records management functionality of any product it evaluated.
