Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq: STEL), a global provider of content management solutions, announced today ECM Connection named it as the recipient of an "Industry ACE Award” in the Compliance category. The Industry ACE Awards were presented at the annual AIIM Conference and Exposition, the world’s largest and most important event for the enterprise content and information management industry, held May 15-18, 2006 in Philadelphia.

Stellent was one of only four solution providers honored with an Industry ACE Award, which recognizes vendors for making extra efforts to promote the education and adoption of enterprise content management (ECM) technologies within specific markets beyond their overall horizontal offerings. Beyond Compliance, the three other award categories are Banking and Finance, Government, and Health Care.

"The ACE designation honors a company’s noteworthy achievements across three criteria,” said Tony Paris, managing editor of ECM Connection. "‘Appeal’ refers to the company’s innovative, feature-rich product line; ‘Content’ refers to the valuable information resources offered on the company’s Web site and in its marketing material; and ‘Education’ refers to the solution provider’s outstanding outreach programs and services. Stellent and its compliance activities and offerings, featuring the Stellent Sarbanes-Oxley Solution, clearly exceed these criteria, and we are pleased to distinguish the company as our 2006 Compliance ACE.”

Stellent’s compliance solutions — based on its award-winning content management, workflow and business process management technologies — dramatically improve the efficiency of governance, risk and compliance initiatives. The Stellent® Sarbanes-Oxley Solution is a Web-based, financial compliance application that enables organizations to quickly develop and document the objectives, risks and controls associated with financial reporting and operational risk. It supports effective enterprise-wide deployment of Section 404 compliance programs — including the management and approval of assessments, tests and documentation, from initial process definition to end-of-year attestation.

"We are pleased ECM Connection has recognized our significant efforts to provide customers with compliance solutions allowing them to significantly improve business processes while adhering to numerous regulations and disclosures such as the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, as well as Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filings, ISO, Basel II, the USA Patriot Act, and the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA), among others,” said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. "The complex challenges of compliance and risk management will continue to be pressing issues in the years to come, and we look forward to delivering the industry’s most comprehensive and unified product suite to improve the quality and effectiveness of compliance programs, and the mechanisms to understand and monitor risk throughout an organization.”

Along with the ECM Connection Industry ACE Award distinction, Stellent has been honored by a number of leading publications and organizations for its product innovation, market leadership and successful customer implementations. Recent honors include: a 2006 "Best of FOSE” award from Government Computer News for Site Studio™ — Stellent’s multi-site Web content management application; a 2006 "I3 Award” for the Stellent Universal Content Management™ implementation at Land O’Lakes; 2005 and 2004 "Best of Show - Enterprise Content Management” awards from AIIM E-DOC Magazine; a KMWorld "Trend-Setting Product of 2005” award for the Stellent Universal Content Management system; a 2005 Kinetic Information "Process Innovation Award” for the Stellent Universal Content Management deployment at Scott County, Minn.; a 2006 "Company to Watch” recognition from Intelligent Enterprise magazine as part of the annual Editors’ Choice Awards; EContent’s "EContent 100;” and KMWorld’s "100 Companies that Matter in Knowledge Management.”
