Trinary Utilizes TierConnect Technology for EDI Launch; Electronic document integration for supply chains built on CoreConnect web technology.

Wixom, Mich.-based software provider, TierConnect, Inc. announced today that EDI and e-commerce solutions leader Trinary Systems, Inc., has implemented TierConnect’s web application technology for use in its own solutions. Trinary utilized CoreConnect from TierConnect to launch its new version of the EDX (Electronic Data eXchange) service, Trinary’s data exchange business model, an outsourced data communication method which includes translation, mapping, and integration without the burden of buying and supporting expensive software dependent on expensive hardware. CoreConnect is a unique web application core technology engineered to drive functionality for continuous improvement manufacturing environments.

CoreConnect’s purpose is to assist developers to produce quality enterprise web applications, backed by reliable, scalable, and proven technology. To this end, years of research have gone into defining a common technology architecture and platform to support these goals. CoreConnect was architected using various industry standard, Java-based web technologies to form the base application needed as the foundation for any web application. CoreConnect includes common requirements needed in application development including internationalization, security, ASP service hosting, and more. Applications built on CoreConnect enjoy about 40% lower long-term cost of ownership due to the relative ease of feature modifications enabled by the CoreConnect software manufacturing process.

Since 1985, Trinary has offered electronic data interchange and e-Business solutions for several markets including automotive, retail, consumer products, medical, food and beverage, and pharmaceutical.

"TierConnect architected its CoreConnect application core technology specifically for solutions running in dynamic environments such as e-business manufacturing where continuous improvement practices drive frequent demands for modifications," stated Don Draheim, president of Trinary. "The CoreConnect-based architecture has allowed our EDX system to remain scalability, with a lower long-term cost of ownership and greater customer serviceability."

"The CoreConnect vision is to produce these software applications as efficiently as possible, even in the fast-changing software technology landscape," stated Gustavo Riveria, TierConnect’s chief technology officer and one of three co-founders. "To this end, it implements smart manufacturing practices in the development and assembly processes, so that both the technology and end-products can evolve and keep pace with customer and/or technology demands."
