Eicon Networks Extends the Reach of Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 Beyond Network Bound

Eicon Networks Corporation ("Eicon"), a global leader in providing world class products and technologies for media processing, announced today that it is committed to extending its Diva Server universal communications platform to enable Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 users to seamlessly make calls between IP and PSTN networks. This will allow customers to integrate their legacy PBXs with Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 through a Diva Server based media gateway solution.

Enterprises deploying Microsoft Office Communications Server 2007 with SIP and IP telephony capabilities, benefit from media gateway solutions that are easy to install and configure, in particular the connection with legacy PBX systems needs to be as straightforward as possible. With Diva Server, Eicon offers seamless connectivity and built-in protocol support for all major PBX vendors with a strong focus on ISDN and Q.SIG interfaces. By supporting Windows Server System-based management interfaces such as MMC and WMI, Eicon's Diva Server allows easy management of the media gateway function as a component of the unified communications network using integrated and well-known tools.
