The Windy City's most comprehensive Web site blows away its previous versions.

Chicago.com, Inc. is pleased to announce the relaunch of Chicago.com and version 3.0 of its Web site. Chicago.com 3.0 now offers users a graphically attractive interface, increased functionality and a greatly enhanced user experience.

The first feature of the site visitors will notice is the bright, clean look and radically redesigned layout that allows for greatly simplified site navigation. Visitors will also notice the addition of hundreds of pages of original content on Chicago events, neighborhoods, restaurants, parks, shopping and other city specialties. The additional content makes Chicago.com a true information gateway for locals, tourists and those relocating to Chicago.

"By utilizing more advanced interface technologies like AJAX and DHTML, Chicago.com is now better able to serve both of our core audience groups -- tourists and local residents -- in a much more effective manner,” said Chicago.com CEO Josh Metnick.

Chicago.com is now home to the most comprehensive and user-friendly events calendar in the Windy City. Not only can one find hundreds of Chicago events occurring on any given date but registered users also have the ability to add their own events to the calendar, post reviews and photos and even communicate with other users.

The Chicago attractions guide offers information on all of Chicago’s best-loved landmarks, significant cultural venues and must-attend happenings. A fun site section at http://beer.chicago.com uses the most innovative mapping technology to allow users to find bars, clubs and pubs within a specific geographic area and create a bar crawl complete with online invitations for friends to join.

In addition to the many great new features, Chicago.com visitors are still able to book a guaranteed lowest-price hotel room at one of the hundreds of hotels throughout Chicagoland, reserve spots for Chicago tours, buy hard-to-get tickets for the biggest concerts, theater performances and sporting events, search real estate opportunities via the MLS, find the perfect restaurant for a special night out, search through a local directory for every Chicago business, read the latest breaking news and much more.

Chicago.com is excited to bring several successful partnerships to increased revenue levels through site version 3.0. Chicago.com 3.0 has already shown increases in site traffic, page views and product sales.

"The new Chicago.com has had a significant impact on our online ticket sales,” said Brooke Domich, an affiliate account representative at TicketsNow. "The seamless integration and classy user experience has made Chicago.com a top site for consumers looking to purchase premium tickets for Chicago events.”
