EDEN PRAIRIE, MN, July 24, 2006 — Stellent, Inc. (Nasdaq: STEL), a global provider of content management solutions, announced today UMB Financial Corp. (Nasdaq: UMBF), a Kansas City multi-bank holding company, recently launched an enhanced public Web site, www.umb.com, using Stellent technology.

UMB utilizes Stellent® Site Studio — the multi-site Web content management application within the enterprise-scalable Stellent Universal Content Management™ system — to efficiently manage, publish and update all content residing on its public site. Specifically, the Stellent application allows UMB to empower subject matter experts within its business units to organize, maintain and revise areas of the Web site related to their job functions. As a result, UMB’s site is updated more frequently with content highly relevant to its various target audiences.

"Prior to our Stellent implementation, all Web site changes were routed through UMB’s technical group, which often led to bottlenecks as our team was constantly inundated with requests,” said Kanon Cozad, senior vice president and director of application development for UMB. "With Site Studio, we’ve enabled associates who are most knowledgeable about their lines of business to update site content in a timely fashion, making our public Web site a more dynamic and useful source of information that better attracts return visitors.

Cozad added that the Stellent system is easy to use with minimal training. "Staff members can create Web site content using applications with which they are most familiar, and the Stellent technology simply converts and publishes this information to our site,” he said.

"Generally, subject matter experts within business units or departments are best-equipped to revise and refine specific details of a Web site, such as Web page content or simple navigation, because they have the greatest understanding of the needs of target audiences,” said Robert Olson, president and chief executive officer for Stellent. "Our Site Studio application allows companies, such as UMB, to assign ongoing Web site management to audience experts who can more effectively tailor sites to meet anticipated visitor needs. This capability also helps ensure Web site updates are promptly made and organizations provide the most up-to-date content to their business-critical audiences.”
