The Flashforward Conference Celebrates in Austin.

Flash®, the rich media platform, recently acquired by Adobe Systems, that supports interactive content for web, rich internet, and mobile applications, is having its 10th Anniversary party during Flashforward2006 Austin, the world’s largest Flash user conference and Film Festival.

Flashfoward2006 Austin is expecting to bring together more than 2,000 international professionals from the film, online programming, and creative industries to meet and celebrate one of the most prolific programming languages in the world, Flash. For ten years, Flash has been the industry standard for creating rich, interactive content. In celebration of the tenth anniversary of Flash, and with an eye toward continued inspiration and innovation in the Flash community, Adobe is hosting the Flash Anniversary Party just for Flashforward attendees.

"In just 10 years, Flash has grown into one of the most prolific rich media formats around. It is used by web designers, animators, advertising agencies, film and motion graphics professionals, and is now vying for a leadership position in mobile and application delivery,” said Lynda Weinman, founder of the Flashforward conference. "We brought the conference to Austin this year because of its creative energy, and there’s no better location to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Flash.”

Since its inception six years ago, the Flashforward Conference and Film Festival has grown into the world’s largest, and most-renowned event focusing on Flash. In this time, more than 20,000 professionals in the industries of design, interactivity, animation, video, and motion graphics have attended 15 events in cities such as San Francisco, New York, Amsterdam, and London. The Flashforward Film Festival takes place in conjunction with the conference, and showcases the most innovative and cutting-edge Flash techniques on the web from around the world.
