The document store of Instant OGo's Groupware can now be accessed from the users Office program. Skyrix adds new functions to InstantOGo 1.1.4, which features familiar user interaction using desktop programs like MS Word. InstantOGo 1.1.4 supports the open WebDAV protocol (World Wide Web Distributed Authoring and Versioning). The server is compatible with most WebDAV enabled desktop systems, like Windows XP/2003, the Linux Desktops of GNOMES and KDE, as well as MAC OS X Tiger (10.4).

Opening any Office document by just a click

A new configurable button was added to the document viewer. It enables the user to open the file comfortably on his desktop by just a mouse click. Thus, the user has access to contents of all documents, without having to download the files before to his workstation.

Filesystem Integration

Instant OGo's document store integrates WebDAV functionality. Users can easily orient themselves and find project related documents faster using their desktop file manager. Changes can be made and saved quickly.

Compatible with OS X Tiger and Windows XP/2003

On computers that shipped with a recent desktop manager, the WebDAV support can be used easily. Owners of older PCs or Macs can also take advantage of InstantOGo's new feature by using available 3rd party software, e.g. Novell NetDrive or Goliath.

InstantOGo 1.1.4 is available immediately at many retailers and at the Skyrix online store (www.instantogo.com/buy). The price starts at EUR 85 (plus VAT if applicable). Existing Instant OGo ASE customers with valid maintenance subscription can download the update free of charge.
