Pheedo, the RSS marketing experts, today announced a new natural search engine optimization (SEO) product for RSS feeds that helps publishers achieve greater visibility and relevance in all major search engines via creative linking strategies, keyword placement and more. The new product, RSSeo, was unveiled at the Search Engine Strategies Conference in San Jose, Calif., and is available in beta for publishers seeking to leverage the fast growing RSS format to improve their search engine performance.

An increasing number of online publishers offer RSS feeds of their content to consumers. While their websites may be optimized for search engines, their RSS feeds remain a powerful, yet untapped resource for improving SEO. RSSeo strategically brings feeds into the search engine optimization equation as a key factor in enhancing search results.

RSSeo delivers improved search visibility through innovative linking strategies, tactical keyword placement and optimized content for search engine crawling, indexing and ranking. Pheedo’s team of RSS SEO experts also provide ongoing search-related recommendations to publishers to help them maintain a high level of natural search engine visibility and keyword relevance.

"PRWeb continually embraces new technologies and distribution capabilities to maximize exposure for our customers’ press releases and news," said Dave McInnis, founder and CEO of PRWeb. "RSS is a core element of our distribution strategy and we anticipate that working with Pheedo to leverage this format as a way to improve our clients' search results will emerge as a competitive advantage."

"Attracting new readers is a top concern for many publishers and their ability to do so relies heavily on search engine visibility. While many publishers offer RSS content, they have not yet realized the SEO opportunity that lies within these feeds," said Bill Flitter, co-founder and VP of marketing of Pheedo. "Using RSS to improve search results, RSSeo helps publishers engage in a more comprehensive optimization strategy and move a step ahead in the competitive search engine environment."

RSSeo is currently available to online publishers and will be open to retailers shortly. All publishers can easily take advantage of RSSeo by simply offering RSS feeds - as new content is added to the feeds, RSSeo works behind the scenes to optimize the content, a process that makes SEO for RSS highly scalable. The program is also open as a value-add to existing Pheedo Ads for Feeds+ customers.

Pheedo’s other marketing solutions for publishers include Ads for Feeds+, a full-service, scalable RSS advertising and analytics solution, and Ads for Feeds, a simple monetization solution for publishers who already have a third-party analytics service. Pheedo hosts the largest RSS ad network consisting of over 8,000 publishers across multiple categories including entertainment, technology, mobile, small business topics and more.
