Ingeniux CMS Version 5.2 Delivers Powerful Application Framework for Web Content Management
Ingeniux Corporation, the trusted provider of XML-based Web content management software, today announced the release of Ingeniux CMS Version 5.2, a major upgrade to the company’s flagship content management system.
Ingeniux CMS is a two-time SIIA CODiE Award finalist for "Best Content Management Solution." It enables organizations to manage and produce complex Web sites by empowering non-technical "subject matter experts" to author Web content and by providing IT teams the tools to streamline web development and safeguard digital assets.

Ingeniux CMS version 5.2 extends Ingeniux’s leadership in Web content management by providing a wide range of features and solutions; including enhanced Web calendaring, Podcasting, news management, syndication, search, and connectors to leading back office systems.
Version 5.2 is the first Ingeniux release to feature AJAX-oriented software development. AJAX stands for "Asynchronous Java Script and XML," AJAX is a process or developing rich client software for the web that provides the same performance and user experience as traditional productivity software. In Ingeniux CMS version 5.2 a number of the key dialogs and interactions were rewritten with AJAX, providing a superior user experience. Moreover, as an XML-based application, Ingeniux is an ideal platform for deploying AJAX applications, a benefit that Ingeniux leveraged in a new XML search solution bundled in version 5.2.
Ingeniux CMS Version 5.2 Features
Over twenty new features and enhancements went into version 5.2, making it one of the most significant upgrades to Ingeniux CMS is years. Some of the highlights include:
- CMS Dashboard - Personalized start screen that allows users to create new content with the click of a button, display snapshots of website reports, and collaborate with other users.
- AJAX Dialogs - Using AJAX-technology Ingeniux retooled a number of the dialogs in the product, making them more responsive and easier to use. These include a smart hyperlink dialog that is customized based on the type of link and has built-in page filtering on search as well as new image galleries with thumbnail views.
- Ingeniux Smart Paste - Ingeniux Smart Paste is a new feature that allows administrators to configure how content is imported into the CMS. Paste options can clean up Microsoft Word formatting, meet Section 508a accessibility rules, and lock-in CSS stylesheet formatting to ensure consistent design and brand guidelines.
- Version Control "History" - A new History Tab in the client allows users to manage unlimited versions of a page and to easily roll back to prior versions.
- Mac Client Upgrade - The Ingeniux CMS client for Macintosh OS X was upgraded with Version 5 features, providing a native Macintosh solution for managing Web content.
- Customizable URLs - Version 5 provides the option of publishing content custom structured URLs that makes content easier to navigate, index, and search.
- XML Search - A new run-time search application indexes Ingeniux pages and allows for advanced searching of Web pages by section, type and even content field.
Pricing and Availability
Ingeniux CMS version 5.2 is available now. Per server licensing starts at $25,000 commercial and $20,000 for non-profit and education. Ingeniux also offers software as a service and departmental packages.
