Open Text Corporation (NASDAQ: OTEX, TSX: OTC), the independent provider of Enterprise Content Management (ECM) software and solutions, today announced that Montblanc, manufacturer of luxury writing instruments, watches, jewelry, leather goods and accessories, is now online at www.montblanc.com with a new, completely reworked Internet presence, using the RedDot Web content management software (CMS) from Open Text. The Web site was implemented with RedDot’s Advanced Partner, Elephant Seven (e7), which was responsible for the design and technical implementation.

The international Internet presence, created in celebration of the Hamburg company’s 100th anniversary, complements the brand positioning and current image of Montblanc. In addition to the English-language Web site, another seven languages are planned. The Japanese version of the site www.montblanc.co.jp was recently launched.

"RedDot CMS and the applications programmed by e7 ensure that our high demands regarding corporate design and brand presentation are reflected on the Web,” said Sebastian Hahn, Project Manager at Montblanc. "Thanks to RedDot CMS, we no longer need external support to maintain our Web site. Many of our editorial processes have now been automated, saving us time and guaranteeing that our information is always up to date.”

Known for its ease-of-use, leading translation tools, workflow processes, and flexible integration with third-party applications, RedDot’s Web Content Management enabled Montblanc to optimize content from many databases throughout the multiple sites.

Editors working in different countries enhance the automatically imported product catalog with images and marketing copy. Corresponding keywords and metadata are automatically added. RedDot CMS also ensures that all changes in the product catalog are automatically transferred to the different country-specific Web sites. Links are also adapted. This is especially important if collections change or products are added or removed - a regular occurrence in a company such as Montblanc. The new Web site offers customers and interested visitors particular added value in that they can now view all 2,000 Montblanc products online, and call up information and product variations using a toolbox. There are also additional functions such as automatic zoom and 3D views.

"Luxury brands like Montblanc are always looking to optimize their customers’ experiences,” said Daniel Kraft, COO of Open Text’s RedDot Solutions. "RedDot is honored to support Montblanc in its efforts to offer individualized experiences which meet very high expectations to its site visitors across the globe."
