Volantis, supplier of Intelligent Content Adaptation(tm) solutions for the Mobile Information Age, today announced that its full product suite will be available on HP Integrity servers.

The new relationship extends Volantis' ability to support wireless carriers worldwide with the dynamic development and provisioning of a variety of compelling new content across a broad range of 2G, 2.5G and 3G mobile devices. Volantis expects to announce its first successful carrier launch with HP before the end of 2006.

Volantis has deployed its technology in leading carriers, content providers and enterprises worldwide, today serving more than 160 million consumers. Since 2000, Volantis has delivered solutions for its customers throughout Europe, North America and Asia.

"With more than 40 successful commercial service launches at carriers around the globe, our work with HP and support for its Integrity systems will take us to a new level of scalability for our solutions," said Matthew Harris, Chief Executive Officer of Volantis. "We fully expect our collaboration with HP to enable us to provide a more efficient path to mobile data for an expanding carrier customer base."

"Carriers are consistently confronted with the challenge of launching new services on multi-standard 2G and 3G networks," said Don Jenkins, Vice President of Marketing, Business Critical Servers, HP. "The combination of HP Integrity servers and Volantis' Mobile Content Applications gives carriers the scalability and flexible capacity needed to accommodate the proliferation of mobile devices in the enterprise, enabling them to deliver a greater variety of compelling mobile content."

The Volantis Suite of Mobile Content Applications is a comprehensive offering of off-the-shelf applications to support the faster development and adoption of mobile data services. The Suite includes a mobile content storefront; an intelligent menu navigation solution; transcoding to automatically convert PC websites in real time into mobile format; and support for the efficient management of themes and style guides for mobile data, including 3rd-party content. The Suite is supported by the Volantis Mobile Content Framework<, featuring the industry's largest database of device attributes to enable the development and delivery of optimized content to any mobile device.

Volantis software is included as part of the HP Services Delivery Platform (SDP), a modular, integrated framework that helps service providers streamline the creation and delivery of services for mobile, fixed and broadband networks. Using standards-based software and tools, carrier-grade hardware, and integration services, the HP SDP helps operators accelerate time-to-market by pre-integrating network elements and gateways, common platform functions and complex service creation and delivery processes. Also, by providing an application interface to the network, HP SDP enables non-telecom developers to create innovative service applications for an operator - without compromising the integrity of the network.
