New Bitrix Site Manager 5.1 (CMS): even more rapid and productive

Bitrix Inc. announces the release of new Bitrix Site Manager 5.1 - web content management system. The new version has been globally verified and optimized, which resulted in 40% increase of operation speed. Customers now enjoy new AJAX-enabled user interface. They can use new modules to create blogs, training courses and examination tests; manage affiliate networks. The e-Store now features a flexible system of discounts and coupons, while the forum engine offers many new functions. Bitrix Site Manager 5.1 comes into service with a lot of other new features not listed here.

Better performance

The whole system and the source code has been optimized for better performance when serving large scale projects or running on a virtual server. Performance of critical and frequently called functions has been noticeably improved. Tests indicate the increase of operating speed by 40%.

AJAX-enabled user interface

New user interface of the Control Panel now takes advantage of the modern AJAX technology, which allowed to greatly improve its response and usability. New interface facilitates project deployment, helps reduce staff education costs, avoid routine and do everyday tasks more quickly.

Version 5.1 offers a new tabbed Control Panel with the three modes: "Public section" to view the site as-is; "Edit site" in which system control areas are highlighted and powered with management tools; and the common "Control Panel". The new interface provides for fast switching between the three modes. For convenience, the tab bar can be pinned on top of the browser window.

Affiliate management

The e-Store of Bitrix Site Manager 5.1 now implements support for fully functional affiliate networks. Affiliates can benefit from brought clients; the commission can derive from the number of products sold or the whole amount of affiliate orders.

New modules and features

The wide range of Bitrix Site Manager modules is now even more powerful! The new version is now equipped with the Blogs module to keep on-line diaries, and the e-Learning module allowing to create training courses and examination tests.
Forums now feature sending private messages to registered forum users, viewing and deleting private messages. What is most exciting, the Forum module can now filter and delete obscene phrases.

All product editions now can import and export data from/to information blocks in the CSV format (e.g. for communication with MS Excel). The Small Business edition now contains the Forum and Newsletter modules. The Professional and Enterprise editions now include the Blogs and e-Learning modules. Additionally, the Enterprise edition is empowered with the AD/LDAP module.

Technical support terms became more favourable due to introduction of the two new techsupport subscriptions: Privileged and Standard. These options depend on the subscription period and the date of payment.

All users of older versions of Bitrix Site Manager whose techsupport subscription is active can update their systems for free via the SiteUpdate to upgrade to Bitrix Site Manager 5.1.
