Terapad.com, a blogging platform to also integrate a Paypal(tm)-ready shop, content management system, discussion forums and image gallery, is now available free of charge.

Terapad.com is an all-in-one blogging solution that requires no technical knowledge to set up. Its vast feature set makes it ideal for novice and power bloggers alike.

Offering two gigabytes of storage space, Terapad.com is the only blogging platform that also integrates a Paypal™-ready online shop, a discussion forum and an image gallery. The combined cost of these features would usually run in hundreds of dollars a year and are a clever way to promote and monetize a blog or an online boutique.

Stephan Tual, Managing Director of SiteJourney, the company behind Terapad.com, explains: "Terapad becoming free is going to give thousands of individuals and companies the chance to get the site they deserve. At the moment no one else is offering a complete solution such as ours - it's always been either purchase a prohibitive license, or write the code yourself. Not any more."

Terapad.com also caters to the needs of power bloggers and SMBs by providing enterprise-level features such as content management system, audit trail and career tools - also at no cost. In fact, its designers are not calling Terapad generated content 'blogs' - preferring the word 'sites' instead.

Justin Dean, Director, is keen to emphasize the difference. "Companies can start slow, with a simple news page and RSS feed, then add multimedia content and enable the required modules as they grow. We have corporate users managing all their HR and online content via Terapad - completely free of charge when a similar solution would cost thousands just in development fees. Blogging is just one of the 8 free modules we offer."

As 2007 is set to become the year of user generated content, contenders like Terapad are well positioned to distribute this new wave of media whether it is produced at home or by small businesses.
