Brussels Airport to Choose Mediasurface's Morello Content Management Solution for Re-branding Website

Mediasurface and Brussels Airport announced launch of Brussels Airport website designed in line with corporate re-branding, to give travellers immediate access to flight, timetable, accommodation and reservation systems.

Completely in line with the new corporate identity that has recently been introduced, the new website is a sophisticated combination of efficiency and relevant information in an attractive interface. www.brusselsairport.be is managed by powerful web content management system tool Morello and uses Measuremail as an e-mail marketing tool. The full implementation was handled by web agency The Reference.

The website serves the information needs of the traveller and the community around Brussels Airport by means of dedicated modules and applications. Thus, the traveller has real time access to flight information, timetables and an online flight reservation system. For over 300 different destinations, users of the site will find such information as flights, special hotel offers, the local time, and the weather. The Reference integrated seven backend systems to enable publication of all this information.

"We are extremely satisfied with the interface and the website the content management system selected, Morello and the way The Reference implemented it turned out to be very user-friendly. After a short introduction of the system to the personnel we could publish information on the website fast and effortlessly,” says Jan Van der Cruysse, Communications Manager of Brussels International Airport.

"To build and manage the website we advised the use of Morello, the Content Management System developed by Mediasurface”, says Philippe Bergmans, Account Manager of The Reference. "This choice was motivated, among other things, by its usability. Morello allows fast and easy publication of content by any of its users—they don’t have to go through extensive training. Moreover, Mediasurface maps well to existing infrastructure of BIAC. By virtue of its central installation the system need not be installed on each desktop. The transparency and scalability of the system and publication via XML further sealed the deal.”

The website can not only be maintained by the actual managers of the airport, the 50-odd airport shops can independently update information about their business and temporal offers. Furthermore, some 40 partners can post job announcements on the site, via the same CMS.
