Web Authoring Product EditLive! for IBM Workplace Web Content Management Beats Out Competition

Ephox, a provider of enterprise-wide content authoring solutions, has beaten more than 100 other exhibitors to win the Best in Lotusphere Showcase Award.

Ephox won the accolade for their web authoring application EditLive! for IBM Workplace Web Content Management. Although entries were particularly strong this year, EditLive!'s potential to add value to a range of IBM software applications made it stand out.

"We are pleased to be supporting IBM's commitment to social software in the enterprise and look forward to delivering the benefits of enterprise 2.0 technologies to many of our customers," says Andrew Roberts, CEO and co-founder of Ephox. "We are also pleased to see the announcement for IBM WebSphere Portal Express 6.0 as this platform can deliver the benefits of Workplace Web Content Management to our mid-tier clients."

The rich Word-like features of the EditLive! online HTML editor ensure business users can easily create high-quality web content on CMS, wiki and blog platforms. Seamless integrations with these platforms deliver finer control over the output and reduce webmaster workloads.

EditLive!'s latest release also contains "track changes," an important new feature that delivers more efficient collaboration for web content creation. Authors no longer need to resort to phone calls, email or face to face meetings to manage changes to documents; nor do they have to deal with converting the final copy of a word processor document to HTML for online publication.

The Lotusphere conference is a five-day conference for the IBM Lotus software group. This event is IBM's 14th Lotusphere conference with 7,000 attendees from around the world.
