Immediacy, a UK content management provider, has signed an agreement with Vamosa, a pioneer in the field of website content and document migration, to work together to facilitate the migration of large sites to Immediacy CMS. Under the agreement customers will benefit from the ability to easily and rapidly migrate large websites using Vamosa Content Migrator to Immediacy CMS.

Vamosa Content Migrator is the world’s most successful toolset for the extraction, transformation and loading of existing content from any source to any target. It enables organisations to move data from existing website or disk directories into other required content stores in weeks rather than months or years. As content is migrated it can be automatically standardised and enhanced through auto-categorisation and metadata support.

"Our toolset has helped hundreds of customers unlock existing content and move it to more usable locations," said Owen Lovelock, Marketing Manager, Vamosa. "Many customers feel overwhelmed by the prospect of transferring large amounts of content from an unmanageable website to a new site. By partnering with Immediacy we’re giving customers an easy means to transition large websites, which might have 50,000 pages or more, to Immediacy CMS."

The partnership builds on the success of previous ventures between the two companies, including a website implementation project with the Fife Constabulary.

"One of the key issues we are asked about is the migration of sites to our CMS - particularly large sites," said Nigel Jackson, CEO, Immediacy. "Vamosa is well known in the industry and so the partner tie-up is a beneficial one to our customer offering. We now have a greater capability to handle larger sites with fast and smooth content transition."
