Hot Banana and Connexion Roll Out New Multilingual 'Welcome To Ingersoll Rand' Intranet Site
Intranet site delivers full integration with Active Directory, Automated Multi-language Translation Workflow, Automated Export to PDF and USB Flash Drive.
Hot Banana Software, Inc. and Connexion Corporate Communications NV , a prominent European integrator of multilingual Web content management systems and communication solutions for B2B organizations, announced that they have delivered a new Intranet project to the European headquarters of Ingersoll Rand -- helping the company to welcome new personnel through a customized Intranet site.
With 10,000 employees across Europe, Ingersoll Rand needed a modern, easy-to-use tool to inform new staff about the company's history, philosophy, products, divisions, HR policies, code of conduct and other essential, practical information.
The new Hot Banana/Connexion solution includes a secure Web content management-driven Web site, accessible through Ingersoll Rand's Intranet with automated user authentication via the organization's Active Directory. The solution also leverages the use of a USB flash drive containing a static copy of the full Web site, which HR personnel can automatically generate using Hot Banana software. The removable USB flash drive can be automatically customized with the first and last name of each new employee. For employees who lack access to a computer, a full PDF of the Web site can instantly be generated with the latest content in an easy-to-read layout and seamlessly printable format.

Ingersoll Rand has been able to localize the new 'Welcome to Ingersoll Rand' Web site into seven languages within an exceptionally short time frame, using the Automated Web Translation Workflow that Connexion integrated into Hot Banana. The solution fully automates the export of Web content, facilitates the human translation process with Translation Memory Systems, and instantly publishes the resulting translations online, in a perfect Web format.
