Tridion Accelerates Expansion into US Web Content Management Market with New US Headquarters and New San Francisco Office

Tridion, a global provider of Web Content Management software solutions, announced the shift of the company’s US headquarters to new offices to accommodate the significant momentum and resulting growth achieved in 2006. Tridion was the fastest growing enterprise class WCM vendor in the US market in 2006 with a growth rate of 300% largely attributed to key customer wins.

Tridion experienced impressive enterprise customer success in 2006, which includes the addition of Sodexho Alliance, Kaiser Permanente, a leading insurance and financial services company and breastcancer.org to its roster of clients. The company also continued its work with many well-known global brands, including Toyota, Unilever, Honda, Canon and ING. To further establish itself as a dominant player in the US enterprise class best of-breed WCM sector, Tridion signed several key strategic partnership agreements, in particular with SDL and Ion Global.

"The last decade has seen an explosion of web content in all forms and this has pushed the effective management of web content to top of business priority lists. Enterprises with a need to gain control of this web content and put it to work have turned to the Tridion Web Content Management solution for its ease of use and ability to be implemented quickly and efficiently," said Pieter Varkevisser, CEO of Tridion. "As the growth leader in the enterprise class WCM market in the US last year, we will accelerate solution innovation in 2007 that will continue to enable multi-national organizations to deliver consistent, interactive and highly targeted customer experiences in multiple languages across multiple Web sites."

Tridion’s official entrance into the US Web Content Management market was sparked by the explosion of the industry of the last several years and a real need in the market for a solution that could help large enterprises with their web globalization initiatives. With an expected eighty percent of an organization’s data doubling in volume every two years, Tridion expects to see further demand for their solution as these large, global companies grapple with content overload and look to replace their outdated content management systems. Tridion US employee headcount increased in 2006 to support a full service marketing, sales, professional services and customer support organization. The company expects this to grow considerably in 2007, leading to the expansion into the new office space in New York City as well as plans to open a West Coast office in San Francisco in Q2 of 2007.

14.03.2007, Tridion
